An early Christian Mosaic.

Ancient Greeks believed that the flesh of peafowl did not decay after death, and so it became a symbol of immortality. This symbolism was adopted by early Christianity, and thus many early Christian paintings and mosaics show the peacock. ... In Christian iconography the peacock is often depicted next to the Tree of Life. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_symbolism

Musical Reflection: Dean Stalnaker - “Happy Land”

"There Is a Happy Land" by Andrew Young (1838)

  1. There is a happy land, far, far away,
    Where saints in glory stand, bright, bright as day;
    Oh, how they sweetly sing, worthy is our Savior King,
    Loud let His praises ring, praise, praise for aye.

  2. Bright, in that happy land, beams every eye;
    Kept by a Father’s hand, love cannot die;
    Oh, then to glory run; be a crown and kingdom won;
    And, bright, above the sun, we reign for aye.

About the cover: The Good Shepherd; Catacomb of Callixtus/Callisto

Good morning,

Below are the materials for worship that you are invited to utilize on your own if you are not able to join us in worship on Zoom, or you can encounter these together with us during out Zoom worship.

One new aspect of our Zoom worship experience today is we will be celebrating communion. All are welcome to the table. We will share a liturgy around the table together and partake of elements.

What you should do: prepare a little space where you can place your own elements and still be in front of your device.
What you will need: Utilize whatever is local to your home and comfortable for you, some type of cup and bread. Prepare before we start the service.

So please make arrangements for yourself before we begin our service 9:30am. We look forward to sharing the table together again!
